Description
The name is Icelandic for “rose” as in the flower, this yarn is made of 70% undyed icelandic wool and 30% rose fibers.
The rose fibers are made from rosebushes and they are bright white and shiny.
This is the shimmer in the yarn, as it is undyed and comes in four natural colours of the sheep; white, grey, black and moor (brownish).
The icelandic wool in this yarn is bought from the minimill Gilhagi which spins this yarn and treats the wool from scratch. They use a mild lemon detergent which leaves a lot of the lanolin in the wool.
Your hands will benefit from the lanolin during the knitting process and afterwards the finished garment will also be good for the users skin.

Gauge on 4 mm needles is 20 stitches and 26 rows to 10 cm (4 in)
Handwash and horizontal drying is recommended.
