MarEik 25A

Description

The yarn MarEik 25 is made from 75% undyed icelandic wool and 25% SeaCell TM fibers.

SeaCell (Seaweed-Cellulose) are fibers made with cellulose from trees (from responsible forestries) incorporated with Icelandic seaweed.

With the seaweed you get bioactivity like antioxidant activity and antibacterial activity.

Antioxidant activity is good for our skin and antibacterial activity helps us prevent infections and control body odour.

The icelandic wool in this yarn is bought from the minimill Gilhagi which spins this yarn and treats the wool from scratch. They use a mild lemon detergent which leaves a lot of the lanolin in the wool.

Your hands will benefit from the lanolin during the knitting process and afterwards the finished garment will also be good for the skin of the user.

MarEik 25A is 145 m in 50 g

Gauge on 2.5 mm needles is 30 stiches and 36 rows for 10 cm (4 in)

Handwash and horizontal drying is recommended.
